Residents at The Manor marked International Tea Day with a wonderful morning spent exploring teas from around the world.

The tasting session included Rooibos tea from South Africa, spicy Chai from India, refreshing Mint tea from Morocco and other varieties, giving everyone the chance to try something new and talk about their own favourites. Rooibos proved to be the tea of the day, with those who tried it enjoying it so much that many came back for more.

The setting made the occasion feel extra special. Residents were able to enjoy their drinks from a beautiful china tea set, adding a traditional touch to the morning. One photograph shows residents relaxing in comfy armchairs in the conservatory with their tea, while others capture the colourful floral tea set and a table laid out with biscuits ready to be enjoyed alongside the drinks.

There was also a fun sensory element to the session, as residents played guess the tea using jars of Mint and Chamomile tea leaves. One image shows a resident smelling a jar carefully as she tries to work out the variety, adding a lovely interactive touch to the event.

Activities like this can be a simple but meaningful way to encourage conversation, sensory engagement and shared enjoyment. At The Manor, International Tea Day offered residents the chance to relax, explore different flavours and spend time together over something many people know and love: a good cup of tea.
