Our Charity
South West Care Homes chose The Cinnamon Trust as our Charity of the Year because their work quietly changes lives, for both people and their much-loved pets. They support older and terminally ill owners by arranging practical help such as dog walking, feeding, transport to the vet, and foster care when it’s needed most. It’s a simple idea with a huge heart: keeping pets and owners together for as long as possible, reducing loneliness and bringing daily comfort, companionship and purpose.

The platform supports engaging activities, reminiscence, and interactive content that can be tailored to individuals and groups. It helps teams plan sessions that reflect personal interests and life stories, encouraging conversation, confidence and enjoyment. Put simply: it’s a modern tool that helps us keep activities truly person led, with plenty of smiles along the way.
We work with CareMeds to support safe, reliable medicines management across South West Care Homes. Their pharmacy services and compliance systems help ensure the right medication reaches the right person, at the right time, with clear records and robust checks in place. CareMeds also provides knowledgeable, responsive support to our teams, helping us stay aligned with best practice and regulatory expectations. It’s a partnership built on consistency, accountability and the shared goal of keeping residents safe and well.
South West Care Homes uses CoolCare to help coordinate the day to day running of our homes, supporting everything from care planning and finance to staffing and reporting. By bringing key information into one place, it improves visibility, reduces duplication and helps teams spend less time on admin and more time where it matters most: with residents. CoolCare also supports clearer oversight and structured reporting, helping us maintain high standards while continually improving how we work.
We partner with Person Centred Software to strengthen care planning and record keeping in a way that stays focused on the individual. Their digital care management tools help teams capture day to day wellbeing, routines and support needs, building a clearer picture of each resident over time. This supports continuity between shifts, evidence based decisions, and more personalised care. It also helps with compliance and auditing, while keeping the main priority front and centre: dignity, choice and quality of life.

We signpost families to Autumna because it offers a clear, impartial starting point when you’re trying to understand later life care options, especially for those who are self funding. Their directory and advice resources help people compare services, explore funding routes, and ask the right questions at the right time, taking some of the fog out of a very emotional decision.
Carehome.co.uk is a widely used UK directory that helps families compare care homes using listings, guidance and independent reviews. We recognise it as a helpful reference point for people researching care, building a shortlist, and understanding what different services offer, before arranging visits and conversations directly with providers.
Training providers
We partner with t2 group to support workforce development through adult care and leadership apprenticeships. Their delivery model is designed to work alongside day to day roles, helping colleagues build skills, confidence and recognised qualifications while staying focused on great care.
We work with South West Training Solutions to support practical, compliant training for our teams across the South West. Their course range includes key care sector topics and essential workplace training, delivered in a way that fits around real world care home schedules and priorities.
Cleaning products
Across South West Care Homes we use the Jangro Enviro range as our chosen cleaning product system, helping us maintain consistently high hygiene standards while keeping environmental impact firmly on the radar. We purchase the Enviro range through Pattersons, ensuring reliable supply and consistent products across all homes.
Sector representing organisations
We’re proud to be connected with the Devon Care Homes Collaborative, a membership organisation supporting care providers, managers and teams across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay. It helps the sector share best practice, learn from one another, and strengthen sustainability through collaboration and peer support.
Infra 360 supports the care sector to collaborate, share ideas and resources, and develop a positive culture of best practice, including through its “My Care Bubble” platform. We value organisations like this that help providers work together, stay connected, and respond effectively as a sector.
