There was plenty of laughter and a healthy dose of competitive spirit at The Firs during this week’s Tuesday Target Fun session.
Residents split into two teams and took turns aiming for the highest score using a target mat and sticky balls. It did not take long for the excitement to build, with David becoming the first to score a bullseye, closely followed by Maurice. Their early success certainly set the tone for the rest of the game.
Chris, Marcia, Jane and Shirley all joined in and clearly enjoyed the challenge. The photographs from the session show Shirley, Maurice and Marcia each taking their turn with teammates watching closely, while another lovely image captures Marcia and Jane seated together and smiling beside the target mat. It was clear that everyone was fully involved, whether they were taking aim themselves or cheering each other on.
Activities like this are a great way to encourage movement, concentration and social interaction, all while keeping things fun and relaxed. Team games can also help build confidence and create a real sense of shared enjoyment, especially when a little friendly rivalry is involved.
At The Firs, Tuesday’s target game was a simple activity that brought residents together beautifully, with bullseyes, smiles and plenty of encouragement all round.
