Residents at Lavender Court made the most of the dry weather on Sunday afternoon, enjoying a relaxed get-together outdoors with fresh air, sunshine and a well-earned cuppa.

The idea came from the home’s wonderful team leader, who asked care staff to help everyone get wrapped up and ready to spend some time outside. It was a simple but thoughtful moment that gave residents the chance to enjoy the change of scene and the benefits of being outdoors together.

Photographs from the afternoon show residents seated outside in the sunshine, chatting and relaxing in each other’s company. In one image, residents can be seen enjoying tea and biscuits, while another captures the lovely view out over Perranporth, adding to the calm and cheerful atmosphere. With cups of tea, delicious cake and plenty of conversation, the afternoon was full of warmth in every sense.

Opportunities like this are so important for wellbeing, offering fresh air, social connection and time to slow down and enjoy the moment. The relaxed setting encouraged lots of chatting, laughter and smiles, with everyone making the most of the pleasant weather together.

At Lavender Court, it is often these quieter shared moments that mean the most. This sunny afternoon was a lovely reminder that simple pleasures, good company, a cup of tea and a bit of sunshine, can brighten everyone’s day.
