Residents at Ashfield enjoyed another great afternoon with Paul, who returned to entertain everyone with his lively 60s and 70s show.

There was plenty of singing along as familiar songs filled the room, with residents clearly enjoying the upbeat atmosphere. Photographs show Paul performing in colourful costume, including a purple shirt with patterned flares and waistcoat, while another image captures him in a wig, fake moustache and blue-tinted sunglasses, adding plenty of fun and personality to the show.

Residents joined in enthusiastically, waving their pom poms, smiling and singing along to the music. One lovely photograph shows two residents seated beside Paul, clearly enjoying being close to the performance, while others capture groups of residents taking part from their seats and joining in the occasion with real enjoyment.

Live entertainment like this can make a wonderful contribution to wellbeing in a care home setting. Familiar music often encourages participation, sparks happy memories and creates opportunities for shared laughter and connection. Whether residents were singing every word or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there was a strong sense of togetherness throughout the afternoon.

At Ashfield, Paul’s 60s and 70s show was another cheerful and engaging event, full of music, movement and good humour.
