Residents at The Manor House enjoyed a wonderfully varied Monday, with a morning of live music followed by an afternoon of creative painting.

The day began with a visit from singer Neil, who brought plenty of energy to the home with a selection of well-loved songs. Residents responded with real enthusiasm, with some singing along, dancing, clapping and tapping their feet to the music. Photographs from the session show Neil performing on his keyboard while one male resident danced and others joined in from their seats, moving along to the rhythm and clearly enjoying the atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted from music to art as residents took part in a blossom painting session using acrylic paint. For some, this was their first time trying painting, which made the session all the more special. Images show residents gathered around a table, concentrating on their work and enjoying the chance to express themselves creatively.

It was lovely to see the dedication and imagination residents brought to their artwork, and the session will continue on another day so they can finish their paintings. Activities like these offer much more than entertainment alone. Music can lift mood and encourage movement, while art supports concentration, confidence and self-expression.

At The Manor House, it was a day filled with rhythm, colour and creativity, giving residents the chance to enjoy different forms of engagement in their own way.
