It was a lovely change of scene for Martin from Michaelstowe, who recently enjoyed a refreshing afternoon out on Plymouth Hoe with Lauren.

With the sea in the background and the fresh coastal air all around, the outing offered a simple but meaningful chance to relax and enjoy time outdoors. One of the photos captures Martin and Lauren smiling together in a seaside selfie, while others show Martin making the most of a well-earned ice cream as he sat looking out to sea.

Martin’s treat for the afternoon was a vanilla cone with a chocolate flake, which clearly went down well. In the pictures, he can be seen holding his ice cream proudly, enjoying it on a bench, and later admiring it when it was already more than halfway finished.

Trips like this can make a real difference to wellbeing, offering residents the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, a change of surroundings and one-to-one time doing something enjoyable. Even a short outing can spark conversation, lift the mood and create moments that feel personal and special.

For Martin and Lauren, this visit to Plymouth Hoe was a relaxed and happy afternoon, full of sea views, smiles and a very enjoyable ice cream.
