Residents at Lake View took a trip down memory lane recently with an activity inspired by the history of school milk and the traditional British milkman.
The group chatted about the days of free school milk, before turning their attention to memories of the milkman and his important role in the community. Residents reminisced about milk being delivered in glass bottles, the different vehicles used for deliveries and even chasing down the milkman to get a bottle of orange juice!
Of course, no activity about milk would be complete without a taste test. Residents sampled a selection of delicious flavours, with white chocolate and raspberry, triple chocolate and banana among the favourites.
It was a lovely activity that combined tasty treats with plenty of conversation, laughter and shared memories of a familiar part of everyday life from years gone by.
