Michaelstowe’s Armchair Travel adventures continued this week with a delicious “visit” to beautiful Italy, and it’s safe to say it was a day that left everyone smiling… and very well fed! 🇮🇹
The culinary tour began with a hearty homemade spaghetti carbonara, followed by a classic tiramisu that went down a treat. Over lunch, residents chatted about favourite holidays, Italian cities, and the foods that always seem to taste better when they come with a memory attached.
In the afternoon, the lounge turned into a mini kitchen as residents became Italian chefs for the day, making homemade pizzas and choosing their favourite toppings. From careful sprinkling and arranging to the all-important “this one needs more cheese” decisions, everyone enjoyed getting involved, and the pizzas looked fantastic, almost too good to eat (almost!).
To round off the day in true Italian style, residents enjoyed a refreshing gelato sundae, putting the perfect sweet finish on a brilliant, sociable day.
Smiles, stories, and plenty of full bellies… la dolce vita at Michaelstowe!
