Lavender Court enjoyed a truly heart-warming morning as residents welcomed John from Flicka Donkey Sanctuary for a lovely and moving presentation all about the sanctuary’s work.
John shared the story of how Flicka Donkey Sanctuary began and spoke about the many donkeys they have rescued and rehomed over the years. Residents watched touching video clips on the projector, showing some of the donkeys and the care they receive, and it is fair to say the presentation struck a real chord with everyone in the room.
There were smiles, memories, and even a few emotional moments as residents reflected on their own experiences of countryside life, animals they had loved, and growing up around farms.
One resident said:
“That was so beautiful, I cried.”
The session sparked lots of conversation and created a wonderfully warm atmosphere in the home, with residents fully engaged throughout and clearly touched by the stories they heard.
A huge thank you to John for taking the time to visit Lavender Court and share such a special presentation. It was a beautiful start to the day and one that residents will remember with great fondness.
