Charity Partnership
This ethos strongly aligns with our own values at South West Care Homes, where we believe care should always be personal, compassionate and centred on the whole individual.”
South West Care Homes is proud to announce The Cinnamon Trust as its chosen Charity of the Year, reaffirming its commitment to compassionate, community-focused care that extends beyond the individual to what matters most to them.
Earlier this year, colleagues from across the South West Care Homes group completed an impressive 1,000-mile fundraising walk, raising funds to support two causes close to the hearts of residents, families, and staff alike. Fifty per cent of the proceeds were donated to The Cinnamon Trust, with the remaining funds supporting Alzheimer’s charities.
The Cinnamon Trust provides vital help to older people by ensuring that beloved pets can remain with their owners for as long as possible — offering practical assistance, foster care when needed, and peace of mind at times of significant change.
Richard White, Managing Director of South West Care Homes, welcomed the decision, saying:
“We are delighted to support The Cinnamon Trust as our Charity of the Year. Their work recognises something deeply important — that companion animals are often a source of comfort, continuity and emotional wellbeing, particularly when people are navigating illness, loss or major life changes. Too often, these companions can become an afterthought, and The Cinnamon Trust ensures they are not.”
He added:
“This ethos strongly aligns with our own values at South West Care Homes, where we believe care should always be personal, compassionate and centred on the whole individual.”
Through fundraising, awareness campaigns and ongoing support throughout the year ahead, South West Care Homes looks forward to strengthening its partnership with The Cinnamon Trust and continuing to support causes that make a meaningful difference to the lives of residents, families and the wider community.
