Lavender Court was in full Scottish spirit for Burns Night (25 January), with an afternoon of tradition, laughter and togetherness that had everyone talking.
Residents enjoyed a proper taste of the occasion, with some braver than others sampling haggis, washing it down with a sip of Irn-Bru, and finishing things off the right way with a little shortbread on the side. The room was full of conversation and smiles as everyone shared thoughts on the flavours and joined in with the fun.
A special thank you goes to Roland, who joined us dressed in full Highland attire and delivered the famous Address to the Haggis. It was a real highlight of the afternoon and brought an extra spark to the celebration, creating a wonderful moment for residents to enjoy and remember.
All in all, it was a brilliant Burns Night at Lavender Court, full of warmth, good humour, and a lovely sense of community. And yes… let’s just say the haggis wasn’t the only thing getting plenty of attention 👀😄
