Residents at The Manor House were delighted to welcome back Bimble the Golden Retriever for a recent therapy session on Monday.
Bimble is a much-loved visitor to the home, and his return brought plenty of smiles. Animal visits can offer great comfort and enjoyment, and Bimble’s calm and friendly nature was clearly appreciated by everyone he met. The photographs from the visit show some lovely moments between residents and their four-legged guest, including one resident gently stroking Bimble’s head while relaxing in bed, and another seated resident holding his face affectionately.
Bimble also spent time visiting residents in their rooms and shared some special one-to-one interactions. One image shows a male resident standing in his room and stroking Bimble alongside the dog’s carer, while another captures a warm exchange between Bimble and a resident seated in an armchair, with both appearing to enjoy the moment together.
These visits can be a valuable part of life in the home, supporting wellbeing through companionship, sensory engagement and meaningful connection. For many residents, spending time with a therapy dog can be both soothing and uplifting.
At The Manor House, Bimble’s visits are always looked forward to, and residents will be pleased to know they will not have to wait too long to see him again. Everyone is already looking forward to welcoming him back in two weeks’ time on Bank Holiday Monday.
