Residents at The Firs have been continuing to enjoy a series of light-hearted competitions, with the latest challenge bringing plenty of focus and fun in the form of bean bag toss.

The activity gave residents the chance to test their aim and see who could score the most points, all in the spirit of friendly competition. Photographs show Marcia taking her turn with a blue bean bag, aiming towards the tilted target, while Maurice is pictured throwing red bean bags and enjoying his chance to score. Another image captures Maurice playing while Chris watches on, and Chris is also shown having her own go with the blue bean bags.

Joining in the challenge were Jane, Chris, David, Maurice and Nora, with everyone taking part for fun and cheering one another along. At the end of the game, Marcia came out as the winner, earning well-deserved congratulations.

Activities like bean bag toss can be a great way to support coordination, concentration and gentle movement, while also creating opportunities for social interaction and shared enjoyment. Just as importantly, they bring a bit of variety to the day and encourage residents to take part in a way that feels relaxed and inclusive.
