Residents at Ashley House got creative to celebrate World Lion Day, designing and making their very own colourful lion heads.
There was plenty to get involved with as residents cut, glued and painted their creations, choosing different colours and materials to make each lion completely unique. The hands-on activity provided a great opportunity to practise fine motor skills while enjoying plenty of sensory stimulation and creative expression.
The activity also sparked some interesting conversations about lions, from where they live and their natural habitats to the challenges they face in the wild and the importance of protecting them for future generations.
A fun and creative way to celebrate these magnificent animals, with some fantastic lions to show for it!
