Residents at Ashfield are being encouraged to dream up something special as part of the home’s new ‘Make a Wish’ project, with the team hoping to turn those wishes into reality.
Maurice knew exactly what he wanted to do – visit Franklins, catch up with his friends and enjoy a meal with a cheeky tipple or two! So, that’s exactly what the team arranged.
Maurice received a wonderfully warm welcome from his friends and the team at Franklins, where he tucked into a full English breakfast with his favourite drink while chatting and reminiscing. Afterwards, there was time for a relaxed stroll around town and a spot of shopping.
When Maurice decided he fancied a steak for lunch the following day, the next stop was Lloyd Maunder, a particularly meaningful visit as Maurice had previously worked there. Once again, he received a lovely welcome, with the team taking the time to listen as he shared stories and memories from his working days.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Maurice’s outing so special. It was a day filled with familiar faces, treasured memories and plenty of conversation – and a wonderful first wish to make come true!
