Residents at Ashfield enjoyed a lovely morning of music as Claire led a cheerful singalong that filled the home with joy, laughter and plenty of familiar tunes.
Music sessions like these are always a wonderful way to bring people together, and this one was no exception. Residents joined in by singing along, clapping to the rhythm and enjoying the warm, sociable atmosphere. The images from the morning show smiling faces throughout the room, with one resident clapping along to the music, another singing with confidence, and a gentleman taking his turn with the microphone.
The video of everyone singing “Daisy Daisy” captures the spirit of the session perfectly, with residents clearly enjoying the chance to join in with a well-known song. Familiar music can be especially powerful in a care home setting, encouraging conversation, sparking memories and helping residents feel engaged and included.
Alongside the singing, the morning was full of relaxed, happy moments. Several photographs show residents smiling for the camera, reflecting the positive mood and the sense of enjoyment shared across the home.
At Ashfield, activities like this are about more than entertainment. They create opportunities for connection, confidence and shared happiness — and Claire’s visit certainly brought all of that with her. It was a simple but very special morning, enjoyed by everyone who took part.
