It was an exciting day three at Cambrian Lodge, as hatching day brought plenty of activity, interest and smiles throughout the home.
The ducklings hatched two by two, with residents gathering around the incubator to watch each new arrival. Photos show residents seated closely together, keeping a careful eye on the eggs and the newly hatched ducklings as the day unfolded. One particularly lovely image shows a duckling being presented on a pink fluffy pillow, giving residents a closer look at one of the newest arrivals.
As each duckling became stronger, they were carefully transferred from the incubator to the prepared cage. Images capture these moments beautifully, including a carer being handed a duckling and the ducklings settling into their new space. Videos of a duckling wriggling free from its shell and others moving about in the cage helped bring the whole experience to life.
The timing made the day even more special, as nursery children arrived and were able to see all the action too. Photos show toddlers and residents watching the incubator together, creating a lovely shared moment between generations. The residents have also been taking it in turns to keep watch over the ducklings, showing just how much interest and care the project has inspired.
This hands-on experience has brought people together in a natural and meaningful way, encouraging conversation, curiosity and connection. At Cambrian Lodge, the ducklings have already become very popular little visitors.
