There was a delicious smell in the air at Lake View as residents enjoyed a brilliant pancake session, complete with a tempting selection of toppings to choose from.
Residents were a real help with the making of the pancakes too, getting involved in the preparation and enjoying the familiar routines of mixing, portioning and helping to serve. Food-based activities like this are always a hit, bringing people together in a relaxed, social setting while encouraging choice, conversation and a little gentle teamwork along the way.
And of course, the best part was the tasting. Whether topped with something sweet, something classic, or a bit of everything, the pancakes went down a treat, with plenty of smiles around the table and lots of happy “seconds, please” energy.
