As we mark Blue Christmas, residents at Beechmount wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to the emergency services for everything they do to keep us safe over the festive season, especially while so many of us are warm at home with loved ones.

On a cold, windy, rain-soaked morning, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue Service, along with their fire engine. Wrapped in blankets and smiles, residents and staff greeted the crew with questions, appreciation, and a festive goodie bag to enjoy while on call over Christmas. 🎄🚒

It was a truly special visit. Susie especially loved the sirens and the kindness shown, while David enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days, sharing stories from his time in the Navy and how closely he once worked with the fire services, and the deep respect he still holds for the job they do.

Thank you for keeping us safe, for taking the time to visit, and for bringing the fire engine for us to see. Your kindness meant more than you know.
